Introduction

Lift trucks are invaluable pieces of equipment across all industrial sectors, they are well designed and well built.  However, each year thousands of people are injured or in severe cases even killed due to accidents involving lift trucks.  Many of these accidents could have been avoided had the operator undergone the correct training in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety Regulations.

The Health and Safety Executive is concerned with the high occurrence of accidents and have set in place standards of training requirements to reduce the level of accidents
